How the model is made

From reference material to final inspection.

A convincing model starts long before the first print. Every phase serves one aim: making the stadium feel right from every angle.

    We gather detailed reference material

    We work with photographs, plans, aerial views and other available material, looking for connections and small features that ordinary images can miss.

    Dozens of hours go into the digital model

    We turn the references into a 3D design, compare each area again and refine it until the whole feels convincing.

    Printed in Czechia with detail in mind

    The print settings preserve fine edges and layers. Speed never takes priority over the result.

  4. 04

    Every piece is checked by hand

    We inspect the finished model from every side and only then secure it in its premium packaging.

The stadium story

From Westfalenstadion to a black-and-yellow temple.

Dortmund's arena began with room for 54,000. Successive expansions made it much larger, while closeness, acoustics and the South Stand remained central to its reputation. Today its 81,365 places are the most in Germany.

2 April 1974: opening day

Westfalenstadion opened with a friendly against Schalke 04. Its original form held 54,000, most of them standing. Its complete roof already produced remarkable acoustics.

1995–1999: the stands grow

Upper tiers on the west and east sides and an expanded south end lifted capacity to 68,600. In 1995, both long sides gained 6,000 seats. The South Stand became Europe's largest terrace.

2002–2003: closed corners and yellow pylons

Filling the corners added roughly 14,000 places. Eight external yellow pylons took the roof load and still define the stadium's outline. Each stands 62 metres high.
